Enter to Win a Kindle Keyboard with 3G!

You asked, I listened, and it’s time for another giveaway – this time it’s a little different with the giveaway of one new Kindle Keyboard with 3g, plus 25 coffee mugs with the blog’s logo!

Here are the rules for this giveaway:

  • The time period is between now and midnight EST on April 28th.
  • You can enter once – and only once.
  • I’m doing this giveaway in an attempt to increase the blog’s social media page signups on Facebook and Twitter. While you don’t have to do anything with Facebook or Twitter in order to enter, you have a greater chance of winning the Kindle Keyboard with 3G if you do (see the options below).
  • You don’t have to be a resident of the USA to enter – in other words, you can live anywhere in the world Amazon delivers merchandise.

To enter:

  • Just click on the Enter to Win section of the box a little further down on this page: use the “Use Your Email” option if you don’t have a Facebook account to log into the giveaway.
  • For one chance to win the contest, you will need to “Like” the blog’s Facebook page: just click the first “+1” icon, then click the green “Enter” icon in the lower right-hand corner of the box that just opened. If you are not a Facebook user or do not want to sign up for a Facebook account, that’s okay – just click the cancel link and go to the next option. If you have previously “Liked” the blog’s Facebook page, just click the green “I’m a Fan!” icon and your chance will be registered for this giveaway.
  • For an additional chance to enter, click the second “+1” icon and follow the blog’s Twitter feed by entering your Twitter user name in the space provided, followed by clicking the green “Enter” icon and your 25 chances will be registered for this giveaway. If you are not a Twitter user, that’s okay – look at the next option.
  • For an additional 10 chances to enter, you can refer the giveaway (and the blog) to a friend. Just click the Share This!” icon (located just below the “Enter to Win” and “Recent Activity” links of the giveaway box, then click the appropriate icon to tell your friends via email or various social media networks for this giveaway.

In return, here is what I will do:

  • Randomly draw one winner from all of the entries for the Kindle Keyboard with 3G, plus draw 25 names who will each win one coffee mug with the blog’s logo.
  • Have Amazon ship out a brand new (i.e., not a refurbished) Kindle Keyboard with 3G or 25 logo coffee mugs to the winners.

The last giveaways have been fun, and generated a lot of excitement. Seeing as how there are more ways to enter and more opportunities to win, I’m hoping the number of entries will be a lot more than last time.

If you’re reading this on your Kindle and not the actual blog page, you can go to your computer’s web browser and type in http://wp.me/p2b82w-4mS and enter away!

Website Owners / Authors

Several people have asked me on previous giveaways how they can have their web visitors, blog readers, and friends join in on future giveaways: the more the merrier! There are two ways:

  • Just link them to the giveaway page on the blog – just tell them to go to http://wp.me/p2b82w-4mS on their web browser.
  • You can embed a widget just like the one I have on this page to your website or blog page. Just click here or type in http://smarturl.it/042013 into your web browser and follow the easy instructions (if I can figure it out as an accountant, it has to be easy). All entries will go into the same hat!

That should do it – and good luck to everyone!

I am very uncomfortable clicking on ANYTHING that says “Rafflecopter would like to access your public profile, friend list and email address.” Or any other site that wants to access my friend list and email addresses.

    Michael,

The “Giveaway” box at the bottom of the page, which is supposed to be used for entering your new contest is not working on either my iPhone or my Kindle HD 3g. It doesn’t have any of the buttons necessary for entering and simply continues to say “Loading.”

I hope you’re able to get this fixed prior to the contest end date as this sounds like it may be your best contest yet! Thanks for offering such great prizes!

    Smiles, Sue

  7. Gloria Duff says

  17. Ann (nee Morrisey) Gramling says

I LUV your site and being a retired Texas native you provide low cost options for authors I have never read before and am introducing to my family, friends and local library’s patrons. You had asked before what we would consider a fair price for books – since I frequently buy my favorite authors’ new hardbacks for about 40-60% at Sam’s and used for less than 10%, I would think Kindle editions shouldn’t be more than 7-10%. I am not cheap but I would like to be able to get more reading on my limited income. May God continue to bless you and your family and make your business profitable.

  18. Judy Schechter says

Well I tried twice to enter the giveaway contest, but it won’t let me: when I tap on “enter to win”, it just says “loading”, and nothing happens. I’m using a Kindle Fire.
